MAGICIAN MEETS MENTALIST
Tessa and Jeff each became intrigued by magic at an early age. Part of Tessa's childhood was spent living on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. As a young girl, she was fascinated by the mysteries of tea leaf readers and island folklore. When Jeff was in high school his grandfather took him on a Caribbean cruise where he met Bernard Reid, a professional magician from New Zealand.
After college, Jeff worked as a radio announcer and did magic on the side. Around the same time, Tessa moved to Canada to study and work part time as a fashion model. A mutual friend and fashion designer invited them to do magic together at an upcoming fashion show she was producing in Toronto. Jeff & Tessa have been a team ever since!
The Evasons’ first US national TV appearance was The World's Greatest Magic V on NBC in 1998. It was produced by fellow Canadian Gary Ouellet and taped at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The series showcased many top magicians from around the world during it’s run from 1994 to 1998.

They are the first mentalists in history to receive the prestigious Milbourne Christopher Award, considered to be the Academy Award of magic (past recipients include David Copperfield, Harry Blackstone Jr. and Siegfried and Roy). The Evasons have appeared in more than 40 countries and on network TV specials worldwide. They’ve appeared at private parties and special events for diplomats, political leaders and royal families. They’ve entertained troops overseas and headlined on cruise ships and casino showrooms. They have performed at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, the Great American Comedy Festival at the Johnny Carson Theatre in Nebraska, and the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. And they are the only mentalists in history to perform at NBA halftime shows before crowds of 20,000 people!
